Should you ask someone out on a first date for Valentine's Day? According to It's Just Lunch, the premier dating service for busy professionals, who surveyed 2,378 singles, 41% of men said no way - too corny. 62% of women said "Sure, why not" and would accept a first date on Valentine's Day. However, 26% of women did say it's too much pressure and February 15th would be much better for a first date.
Singles are spending more money on that special someone than last year. Last year, only 31% of singles said they would spend over $100 on that special someone. This year, 64% of men are planning on spending over $100. 58% of women will spend less than $75, while 34% of singles spent $50 last year.
When are you expected to have a definite Valentine's date? 53% of women said that if they have only been dating 2-4 weeks, yes, they are expecting a date on the big day. Men think differently. 66% of men think a date is expected only if they are dating exclusively or it has been more than 6 weeks.
