Signals That Tell You He's Interested

Want to know if that guy you've been flirting with all night likes you?  Even if you're chatting about the weather, how people hold their bodies will tell you more than they want you to know.

Signals He Sends When He's Interested:

  • The Grooming.  Adjusting or stroking his tie, fiddling with his collar and hand combing his hair.
  • The Loosening.  Partly unbuttoning his shirt or loosening his tie.
  • The Eyebrow Flash.  Raising his eyebrows and flashing them upward signals a strong interest.

Dating Services: 8 Questions to Ask

Dating services run the gamut, with some offering events, singles' nights and seminars while others provide introductions, video dating, computer dating and matchmaking services.  Some focus on fixing up singles who are interested in sports.  Others cater to specific religious groups.  There are even some for millionaires.

When choosing a service, there are a few things to consider to ensure you don't unwittingly sign up with a fly-by-night service.  Stick with busy, reputable services that have been around a long time, and be sure to ask the following questions:

  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What is your success rate?
  • How many clients do you have?
  • What are the demographics of the average client?
  • Do both men and women pay a fee?
  • Are there people available to me if I have questions?
  • How many dates am I entitled to, and over what period of time?
  • How much does the service cost?

How to Tell If They're Interested

It's really quite simple.  There will be lots of clues, primarily given through body language.  Don't worry, you don't have to get up close and check to see if their pupils are dilated.  It's much easier than that.  The non-verbal signals are pretty much the same in both men and women.  Here's a quick list to help you gauge the chemistry clues:

  • Are they smiling at you often?
  • Do they compliment you?
  • Are they making lots of eye contact?
  • Are they leaning toward you?
  • Do they try to make contact?  Perhaps by touching your arm or putting their arm behind your back to walk you forward?
  • Do they seem attentive and interested in what you are saying?  Are they nodding a lot?
  • Do they make reference to doing something together in the future?

Clues That They're Not Interested

  • They look around the room a lot and don't make eye contact.  (Even worse, they're checking out other people.)
  • They talk about how busy they are, hinting that they don't really have time to date you.
  • They talk all the time on the cellphone and ignore you - unacceptable even for a doctor.
